WIPING SPONGE

DESCRIPTION
The Decontaminating Sponge is a single-use accessory made of melamine resin foam, specifically designed for surface preparation prior to automotive glass bonding.
It is intended to deeply remove contaminants that may compromise adhesive adhesion, such as grease and perspiration residues, packaging adhesive residues, soot accumulated during storage and transportation, and traces of silicone released during the manufacturing process.
Thanks to its controlled abrasive action, the sponge can also remove any adhesive residues left on the glass by the manufacturer’s labels. The sponge is recommended for use in combination with Vitrogel (code 45071N).
The Decontaminating Sponge can also be used to apply Gelson Black Glass Primer during automotive glass bonding, as an alternative to the black primer application swabs (code 30860).

The inclusion of this product in the Gelson automotive glass adhesive application procedures is a preventive measure and is expressly recommended to remove any impurities present on the glass bonding surfaces that could negatively affect adhesive adhesion.
